Hi! My name is Rachel, and I am sixteen years old. As the current Miss Chain of Lakes’ Outstanding Teen, my platform is The Heart of Foster Care. My family has been doing foster care for the past five years and adopted one girl named Emily. We have had twenty-two foster children pass through our home, so I have seen the reality that comes with different situations. I want this website to provide education, support and insight to current foster/adoption families and those that have interest in being involved. I will also be connecting with teen siblings of foster children, generating funds for blankets and stuffed animals, and a daily servant and active learner about foster care.
