June 17, 2016, was a bittersweet day for our family when Rachel gave up her title as Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen 2015.  She worked hard on her platform “The Heart of Foster Care” and we are so proud of all that she has accomplished throughout the year with all her service work, not only with regards to foster children, but in so many other areas, as well.  She may have given up her crown, but her platform lives on.  Our family will continue to foster children and be involved in the foster care community.  The Heart of Foster Care will remain a part of our lives, and we will continue to support the “Bags of Hope” Project.  Pictured below is our family on the final day of Rachel’s reign as Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen 2015.
