On April 2, 2016, while Rachel was Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen 2015, she, along with the local titleholders competing for the title of Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen 2016, all got together and made tie blankets and created 16 more Bags of Hope for foster children.  It was a fun service project for them, and they were so grateful to help newly-placed foster children receive some comfort with these items they can call their own.
